Memorial Video Tributes
At Park View, we now offer families the added service of Memorial Video Tributes.
These personalized tributes allow survivors to memorialize their loved one
throughout the various stages of life. We take approximately 30 photos,
scan them, and professionally edit them with pan, fade, zoom, and other effects,
and set them to music. The finished product is shown at the memorial
service and, following the service, presented to the family in DVD format to be
viewed and cherished for years to come. These Memorial Tributes can also be uploaded to the internet to allow family
and friends, all over the world, to actively participate in celebrating the
individuals life. Please see our Memorial
Video Tributes page.
Audio / Video Equipment for Chapel
Our chapel has been updated with a new sound system and flat panel LCD
monitor for viewing our Video Memorial Tributes. These individually
crafted tributes seamlessly integrate 25 to 30 photos of a loved one's
life. When set to music and with some professional editing, these tributes
take a funeral service or memorial service to a whole new level of personalization.

State-Of-The-Art Crematory
Park View is pleased to announce that we have a new - state of the art -
crematory. This new crematory will allow us to decrease our turn around
time for families wanting to get remains of loved ones back quickly. We
know that waiting weeks for the remains of a family member is unacceptable -
which is what many funeral homes do! It is our goal to return remains to
the family as quickly as possible - while still maintaining the integrity of our
strict cremation procedures, and of course, following the law. This new
equipment will allow us to do just that - all while being much more
environmentally friendly.
"B.C. Wallace Sr. Memorial Wall" - Founders Wall
Mr. B.C. Wallace Sr. started Park View in 1917. In his honor, we have recently completed
construction of many beautiful marble front niches inside our mausoleum. These niches, when marked with a bronze name plate, are a dignified
and regal resting place for cremated remains. They may be used for single
or double interment (single and double niches are same
price). Please call 209-982-1611 to make an appointment to come and see these
beautiful niches.
Construction on new section of cemetery
Construction has been completed on a new section of the cemetery and some
burials have already been done there. This is the first time that the cemetery
installed "pre-bury"
vaults. This means that all dirt is removed and all burial vaults are put
in the ground at once. These 300+ new graves will allow the cemetery to
open and close the graves without the use of the heavy equipment that is
normally necessary, thereby saving the grass and soil from wear and tear.
This will make for a much more attractive section.
"Garden of Memories"
The Garden of Memories is a newly opened option at Park View. Because
cremation is becoming more popular, we have completed a beautiful outdoor Niche
Bank and Scattering Garden.
This unique option gives families an outdoor choice for niches. Each
niche is large enough for two cremated remains, but if desired, can be used for
only one. They are decorated with lovely bronze name plates and a
vase for flowers.
The Garden of Memories also contains a scattering garden. This gives
families opting for scattering the comfort of knowing for certain that
the scattering has taken place because they can witness it being done.
After the scattering, a decorative bronze name plate will be placed in their
memory.

Non-Care Section gets a "face lift"
A new sprinkler system has been added to the Non-Care section of the
cemetery. This section was designated as "Non-Care" because, at
the time it was created, it
had no Endowment Care established for its future care and maintenance. It
was considered a "popper's burial section" and was hidden from view
for many years. However, now that the sprinkler system has been installed, it won't look like a
"non-care" section any longer!
